I moved down to Henley with my wife in 2012 to work as an in-house writer for a software company.

With both love living here, on the edge of the countryside, and have become regular kayakers up and down the Thames. Last year as I trained for my first marathon I was fortunate to regularly witness the sun rising through the mists near Remenham Lock, and the occasional kingfisher disappearing in a turquoise blur.

My wife first got involved with HRG as she was excited by the idea of local people taking responsibility for running local matters to benefit the community. When I discovered what a different place Henley could have been but for HRG’s involvement over the last 20 years (imagine no cinema and a car park instead of a cricket club) I signed up to do my bit and help maintain the HRG website.
