HRG and Council Tax – The Truth

Is HRG is a high tax and spend party?

WHAT ARE THE FACTS?

Last year, in 2017, HRG maintained the value of the precept – the proportion of rates paid to the town.

Henley Town Council increased the tax by £6.09 per year.
(That’s 12p a week for a Band D Household)

Conservative Controlled OCC and SODC increased the tax by a total of £85.60

OCC raised the tax but cut services – including support for PCSOs.

Henley Town Council have raised the tax to maintain some of the services.

How does Henley compare with other South Oxfordshire towns?

#WhyVoteHRG?

Despite covering cuts by the Conservative led County and District Councils, our council tax remains the lowest of any town in South Oxfordshire.

Keeping Henley special is our only concern.
