On South Oxfordshire District Council

Henley has three councillors on the District Council, Stefan Gawrysiak (HRG), Lorraine Hillier (Independent Conservative, ) and Derek Nimmo Smith (Conservative).

Stefan Gawrysiak was elected as a District Councillor for Henley’s in May 2016.

On Henley Town Council

As a result of the May 2017 by elections, HRG took control of Henley Town Council and Kellie Hinton, a HRG councillor, was elected the Town’s Mayor.

 

In its by-election literature, on behalf of Henley, HRG’s top ten priorities were to:

  • keep our PCSOs
  • manage on street parking
  • improve Pride in Henley – more street cleaning, continuing the May Fair, promoting Henley in Bloom, introducing Street Angels and regenerating empty shops
  • work to develop more affordable housing in Henley
  • improve air quality for healthy living
  • avoid squandering the Town’s investments
  • ensure more transparent decision making
  • improve the bus services
  • make the Neighbourhood Plan work
  • Improve the children’s facilities at Freeman’s Meadows
